ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into a new approach called Collaboration-Screening-Referral (SSH) to help parents who might be struggling with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. The study is focused on parents who are involved with Swedish child welfare services because of concerns about child abuse or neglect. The main goal is to see if parents are willing to take part in screenings for these mental health symptoms and to understand how well the SSH method works for both parents and social workers. Social workers will receive training on how to use SSH, and their experiences and knowledge will be assessed over time to see if they feel more prepared to support parents.
To be eligible for the study, parents need to have a child aged 0-17 and either have a report made to child welfare services about their situation or have reached out for help themselves. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, parents and social workers will be asked to share their thoughts and experiences through interviews and questionnaires at various points during the study. This research aims to improve how mental health support is provided to families in need, making it easier for parents to get the help they deserve.
