ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how education and training related to pelvic floor exercises can help young women who experience primary dysmenorrhea, which is a medical term for painful menstrual cramps. The study aims to find out if teaching women about their condition can improve their symptoms and if there’s a connection between what they know about dysmenorrhea and how they feel during their periods.
Women aged 18 to 35 who have been diagnosed with primary dysmenorrhea and have regular menstrual cycles may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive training on pelvic floor exercises over two sessions, while the other group will use traditional self-care methods when experiencing cramps. The researchers will assess the effectiveness of the training by comparing participants' symptoms before and after the first menstrual cycle following the training. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria and is interested, it could be a helpful opportunity!
