ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called MUSICORL, is studying the effects of listening to music through an app on reducing anxiety and pain for patients undergoing ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeries. Researchers want to see if this "passive music therapy" can help patients feel calmer before their surgery and experience less pain afterward. The study will involve 500 participants and will take place over 27 months at a single clinic in France.
To be eligible for this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, scheduled for an ENT surgery, and able to give consent. Participants will be randomly assigned to either listen to music or not before their surgery. Your involvement will last for two days, and it aims to provide better understanding of how music might help patients in a surgical setting. If you're interested and meet the criteria, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research!
