ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new web-based application called Preanestes@s2.0, which helps gather information from patients before surgery. The goal is to see if using this app for preoperative assessments is as effective as the traditional method of meeting face-to-face with a healthcare provider. Researchers want to find out if using the app leads to any gaps in patient preparation that could impact the success of the surgery.
To participate in the trial, you need to be scheduled for a non-urgent surgery at specific hospitals, such as urology, general surgery, orthopedics, or ear, nose, and throat procedures. Both men and women aged 65 and older can join, but you would not be eligible if your surgery is urgent or if you have difficulty understanding the consent process. If you take part, you will either use the app or have a traditional in-person assessment, and the study aims to ensure that all patients receive the best possible preparation for their surgery.
