ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well patients recover after a complete rupture of the distal biceps tendon, which is a tendon located in the arm. The study focuses on patients who have been treated conservatively, meaning they did not have surgery, and it will track their progress for at least one year. Researchers will assess recovery using different scoring tools that measure pain, function, and overall health, as well as strength tests for arm movements. They will compare the results of the injured arm to the uninjured arm to see how effective the conservative treatment is.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with a complete tear of the distal biceps tendon between 2000 and 2024. The trial is open to all genders, but if you have had surgery for the injury, have other unrelated injuries in the same arm, or cannot participate in strength evaluations, you won't be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo strength testing and complete questionnaires about their pain and daily activities. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into non-surgical treatment options for tendon injuries.
