ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how orthodontic treatment changes the space in the throat area of young patients who have a specific type of teeth misalignment called Class II Division 2 malocclusion. The main goal is to see how the airway size and the position of the lower jaw change after the initial stage of leveling and aligning teeth. This study is currently recruiting participants aged 12 to 16 years who meet certain criteria, such as having full permanent teeth (except for wisdom teeth) and a noticeable deep bite.
To be eligible for the study, participants must have a specific type of teeth alignment problem and be at certain stages of growth as measured by a dental index. However, those who have had previous orthodontic treatment or have certain jaw issues or facial abnormalities won't be included. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve orthodontic treatment outcomes for others in the future.
