ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two treatments, Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) and phonophoresis, to see how well they help people with lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow. The goal is to find out if these treatments can reduce pain, improve how well patients can use their hands, increase grip strength, and change the thickness of the tendon as seen on ultrasound.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been experiencing elbow pain for at least three months. They should also show specific signs of the condition during physical tests. However, people who have recently received certain injections in their elbow, have had elbow surgery, or have other medical conditions like infections or neurological diseases may not be eligible. Participants will have the chance to receive one of the treatments and will be monitored to see how effective it is. This trial is currently looking for volunteers who meet the criteria.
