ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how inhaling lavender and citrus scents can help reduce anxiety, especially test anxiety, and improve sleep quality among nursing students at Pace University. Many nursing students experience significant stress and worry about exams, which can affect their performance and overall learning. The study aims to see if using natural plant oils, like lavender, can decrease feelings of anxiety without the side effects often associated with traditional anxiety medications.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be nursing students who are at least 18 years old. The study is open to all genders and ethnicities. However, certain conditions may exclude someone from participating, such as severe anxiety disorders, allergies to fragrances, or any respiratory issues. If eligible, participants will have the opportunity to try aromatherapy and share their experiences regarding any changes in their anxiety and sleep. This research hopes to provide helpful insights into using aromatherapy as a supportive tool for nursing students facing stressful situations.
