ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of tranexamic acid, a medication that helps reduce blood loss, during cesarean deliveries (C-sections). Postpartum hemorrhage, or excessive bleeding after childbirth, is a serious condition that can lead to complications and is a significant cause of maternal deaths worldwide. The goal of this study is to see if giving tranexamic acid before a C-section, along with other medications that help the uterus contract, can lower the amount of blood lost during the procedure.
Women who are planning to have a C-section, whether it's scheduled in advance or needed urgently, may be eligible to participate in this trial. To join, participants must be willing to understand the study and provide consent. However, those who are critically ill, do not want to participate, or have specific complications like a ruptured uterus will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive the tranexamic acid along with standard care during your delivery, and your health will be monitored throughout the process. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it's a chance to contribute to research that could improve care for mothers undergoing C-sections.
