ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Vaccine Responses in Cancer," is looking at how well certain vaccines work in adults diagnosed with cancer. The vaccines being studied are for influenza (the flu), SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19), and shingles (a painful skin rash caused by the same virus as chickenpox). This trial is currently recruiting participants who are 18 years and older and who are willing to receive one or more of these vaccines.
To be eligible for this study, participants must have a cancer diagnosis and be able to consent to the study. However, individuals who are allergic to any of the vaccines, have HIV, or have received a solid organ or bone marrow transplant cannot participate. If you join the trial, you will receive the vaccines and be monitored to see how your body responds. This information could help improve vaccine effectiveness for people with cancer in the future.
