ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs), which are rare types of tumors that can affect the pituitary gland. Although most PitNETs grow slowly, about one-third can be aggressive, meaning they may not respond well to standard treatments and can come back after being treated. The trial aims to develop new ways to categorize and understand these tumors better, looking at factors like hormone production and imaging results. Researchers will also explore specific biological markers to see if they can predict how the tumors will behave and respond to treatments.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be over 18 years old and have tumor samples available for analysis, as well as have had regular medical follow-ups for 5 to 10 years. The study will include a large number of patients, with the goal of finding better treatment options for those with aggressive PitNETs. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that could lead to new therapies and improved outcomes for patients with these challenging tumors.
