ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how well blood flows in the vaginal area after a total laparoscopic hysterectomy, which is a common surgery to remove the uterus using small incisions. Researchers are using a special dye called indocyanine green that lights up under infrared light to help visualize blood flow. By injecting this dye into patients during the surgery, the team can record and analyze images to see how well the area is getting blood. They hope this study will help them understand if the blood flow is linked to any complications that might occur after surgery.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be adult females scheduled for a total laparoscopic hysterectomy and able to give their consent. They should also be covered by the Social Security system. However, individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an allergy to iodine, or cannot understand French may not participate. If someone joins the study, they can expect to receive the dye during their surgery and have their blood flow monitored through video analysis. This research is important as it could lead to better understanding and management of potential complications following this common surgical procedure.
