ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how exercise habits before surgery affect knee function and the chances of re-injury after having surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Researchers want to see if patients who regularly exercise before their ACL surgery have better knee function and a lower risk of needing additional surgery compared to those who do not exercise. They will check on participants’ knee health at 1, 2, and 5 years after the surgery.
To participate in this study, you should be between the ages of 16 and 43 and have a torn ACL. However, if you have other serious knee problems, have had previous knee surgeries, or cannot follow a rehabilitation program after surgery, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect regular follow-ups to assess your knee condition and to share your exercise habits with the research team. This study is currently looking for participants, and it aims to improve recovery outcomes for patients undergoing ACL surgery.
