ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new support program designed to help women who are receiving treatment for substance use disorders and may have experienced violence or trauma. The program includes screening for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and offers resources and guidance on preventing interpersonal violence. The goal is to see if this program is helpful and practical for women in treatment. Up to 60 women will participate, and they will be recruited from three different treatment facilities.
To be eligible, participants need to be at least 18 years old, identify as female, and be currently involved in some form of substance use treatment. Unfortunately, those who do not speak English or have serious medical conditions that might prevent them from attending educational sessions will not be included. Participants can expect to complete surveys at different points during the study to share their experiences and gather information about how the program affected their knowledge and behaviors regarding violence. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into supporting women facing these challenges.
