ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special online program can help manage anxiety in pregnant women. Anxiety is common during pregnancy and can affect both mothers and their babies. The researchers want to see if a telehealth approach, where women participate in weekly video sessions with a small group, is more effective than the usual care they receive during pregnancy, like meetings with a midwife. The goal is to find out if this online intervention can reduce anxiety and also prevent symptoms of depression during pregnancy and after childbirth.
To participate in this study, women must be over 18 years old, pregnant with less than 16 weeks of gestation, and living in Galicia, Spain. They should be fluent in Spanish and have access to the internet and a device like a computer or smartphone. Women with high-risk pregnancies, those taking medication for anxiety or depression, or those who do not consent to participate cannot join. If eligible, participants will attend seven one-hour sessions over video calls and fill out surveys to track their anxiety and mood at different points throughout the study.
