ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective different devices are for helping paramedics insert a breathing tube (intubation) in patients who are trapped and have difficulty accessing their airways, such as in trauma situations. Specifically, the trial will look at two airway devices to see which one allows paramedics to successfully intubate the patient the fastest, which one is easiest to use, and how often they succeed on the first try. The trial will involve experienced paramedics who will test these devices under controlled conditions that mimic real-life emergencies.
To participate in this study, paramedics need to be fully qualified, have at least four years of experience after their training, and be currently working in the field. Those in training or retired are not eligible. During the trial, each paramedic will attempt to use each device up to three times to see how well they perform in these challenging scenarios. This research aims to improve emergency care for patients with airway obstructions, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes during critical situations.
