ClinConnect Summary
The Cardiovascular Multimodality Imaging Study is designed to better understand heart diseases, particularly focusing on conditions like cardiomyopathy, which affects the heart muscle. This study is important because it will help identify the causes of these heart issues, especially in diverse groups such as Black and non-Hispanic White patients, as well as those from Hispanic backgrounds. Researchers will use advanced heart imaging techniques, particularly cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, to gather important information that could lead to better treatment options and improved outcomes for patients with heart problems.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older who has been referred for a CMR imaging study at the Montefiore Health System. If you qualify, you can expect to undergo heart imaging tests that will help doctors understand your specific condition. The goal of the study is to gather valuable data that can improve the understanding and treatment of heart diseases in different racial and ethnic groups, ultimately aiming to enhance care and support for patients facing these challenges.
