ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a specific substance in the blood called CXCL5 to see how it relates to the level of disease activity in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system attacks its own tissues. The researchers want to compare the CXCL5 levels in SLE patients to those in healthy individuals to better understand how this biomarker might help in managing the disease.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of SLE based on specific criteria. Unfortunately, if you have other autoimmune diseases, are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or have certain serious health conditions like cancer or infections, you won't be able to join. If you do take part, you'll provide a blood sample, and the study will help researchers learn more about how SLE affects different people, potentially leading to better treatments in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be updates on how to get involved later.
