ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at new wearable devices that can measure blood pressure and track physical activity, comparing their effectiveness to a standard blood pressure monitor called the Spacelabs Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring device. The goal is to see how well these new wearables work for people with normal blood pressure, controlled hypertension, and uncontrolled hypertension.
If you're between 18 and 100 years old and live in the Boston area, you might be eligible to participate, as long as you can walk with both arms and legs and are willing to follow the study's procedures. Participants will need to provide their consent to join the study. Unfortunately, if your arm circumference is larger than 50 cm, you wouldn’t be able to take part. If you join, you can expect to wear the device and help researchers understand how well it measures blood pressure in everyday settings. This research could lead to better ways to monitor blood pressure for everyone!
