ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different methods, like applying cold, using vibrations, and a special vibrating ice treatment, can help reduce pain and fear in children aged 7 to 12 during blood glucose tests. The study is being conducted at a hospital in Izmir, Turkey, and aims to see how satisfied the children feel after these treatments. Researchers will gather information using simple questionnaires that measure fear, pain, and satisfaction levels.
To participate, children need to be between 7 and 12 years old, receive daily blood glucose monitoring, and be willing to take part. However, children with other chronic illnesses, those who take pain medications, or have certain communication or skin issues won’t be eligible. If your child joins, they can expect to experience these different treatments during their blood tests and help contribute to understanding how to make this process easier for other kids in the future.
