ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how a special walking group and various activities can help improve mobility and mental health in patients with dementia. The study will involve a team of health professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, who will work together to support participants. The main goal is to see if this group approach can help increase physical activity, improve movement and balance, boost thinking abilities, and enhance daily living skills. Additionally, the trial will look at how therapy, psychological support, and diet can further benefit these individuals.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be diagnosed with dementia and be 65 years or older. They should be able to move around independently and engage in some basic activities. However, people with certain health issues, like heart problems or significant visual impairments, won’t be able to participate. While the trial is not currently recruiting participants, those who do take part can expect to be involved in a supportive environment aimed at enhancing both their physical and mental well-being.
