ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how ultrasound technology can help us understand swallowing problems in stroke patients. Swallowing difficulties, known as dysphagia, can be a common issue after a stroke, and this study aims to examine different ultrasound measurements to see how they relate to these challenges.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have a diagnosis of stroke and be able to understand and follow test instructions. Participants will be asked to agree to take part in the study and must be able to communicate effectively during the tests. However, those with other neurological conditions affecting swallowing, certain jaw problems, or recent neck surgeries will not be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it’s important to know that taking part could help improve our understanding of dysphagia in stroke patients, potentially leading to better care and treatment options in the future.
