ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the possible link between certain proteins in the blood, called vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family proteins, and a condition known as placenta previa. Placenta previa occurs when the placenta partially or completely covers the opening of the cervix during pregnancy, which can cause complications. Researchers will use data from previous studies to explore whether higher levels of these proteins might cause or influence the chances of developing placenta previa.
To participate in this study, individuals must have been part of previous research that collected information on plasma VEGF levels and placenta previa. Unfortunately, those with incomplete data will not be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it begins, it will welcome individuals of all ages and genders who meet the criteria. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve understanding and treatment of placenta previa, but further details about what participation entails will be provided once the trial opens.
