ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective dental desensitization visits are when a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) helps children and young adults who feel anxious about dental care. The study aims to see if having a CCLS makes kids less distressed and more cooperative during their visits to the dentist, both during the desensitization sessions and their regular dental appointments.
To participate in this trial, children and young adults aged 2 to 25 years who have been referred to a desensitization clinic are eligible, as long as they are meeting with a CCLS. Unfortunately, those younger than 2 or older than 25 cannot take part. If you decide to join, you can expect supportive guidance from the CCLS to help ease any fears about dental procedures, making the experience as comfortable as possible. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve dental care experiences for young patients.
