ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding and treating sleep apnea in people who are experiencing homelessness. Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder that can cause severe fatigue and decrease quality of life. Many people living in shelters may not know they have sleep apnea because it often goes undiagnosed, and when it is diagnosed, it’s rarely treated. The goal of this trial is to find out how diagnosing and providing treatment for sleep apnea can improve the overall well-being of individuals living in shelters.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and currently residing in a shelter. If you have allergies to medical tape or need significant dental work, you may not be eligible. Participants will undergo testing to diagnose sleep apnea and, if diagnosed, will receive treatment for it. By taking part in this trial, you can help improve not only your own sleep and health but also contribute to finding better solutions for others in similar situations.
