ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how military veterans and service members with mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) can receive better care, especially if they also struggle with substance use issues. The goal is to see if a personalized treatment plan that meets their specific needs and goals can help them improve. Participants will be asked to fill out surveys about their substance use and symptoms before they start treatment, right after finishing, and again six months later.
To be eligible for this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, have served in the military, and have a diagnosis of mild traumatic brain injury, either from their service or due to repeated head injuries. They must also be part of a specific intensive outpatient program called the SHARE Military Initiative. However, those with other types of brain injuries, certain mental health issues, or who cannot give consent will not be able to participate. This trial aims to help improve the treatment experience and outcomes for those affected by mTBI and substance use.
