ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying children with a condition called nephrotic syndrome, which affects the kidneys and is one of the most common kidney diseases in kids. The goal is to understand how this condition can impact heart health, especially since children with nephrotic syndrome may have a higher risk of heart problems compared to those without it. Researchers will use a special imaging technique called Tissue Doppler imaging, which is a safe and painless way to assess heart function by measuring how well different parts of the heart are moving.
To participate in this study, children need to be between the ages of 2 and 14 and have primary nephrotic syndrome. Both boys and girls can join, but children with certain heart diseases or who do not agree to participate will not be eligible. If your child takes part, they will undergo non-invasive heart tests to help researchers learn more about the relationship between nephrotic syndrome and heart health. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to important research in this area.
