ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving care for older adults, especially those with dementia and other health challenges. The study aims to explore how meaningful activities, guided by occupational therapists and direct care professionals, can enhance person-centered care in geriatric centers. By involving these professionals, the goal is to create a more supportive and engaging environment for elderly patients, helping them feel more connected and valued.
To participate in this study, direct care workers at the facility must have a background as nursing assistants or similar roles and be able to speak and understand Spanish. They should also have been working in their department for at least four months and be available during the daytime shifts. The trial is currently looking for participants and will involve a small group of about 10 workers. Those involved can expect to play a key role in developing activities that improve patient care and overall well-being.
