ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to improve the quality of care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Bangladesh, particularly focusing on preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), a common infection that can occur in ICU patients. The researchers want to see if training nurses to use evidence-based practices (EBP) and new equipment can lead to better patient outcomes. They will evaluate the effects of this training on nurses' behaviors and the overall health of the patients in the ICU.
To be eligible for participation, registered nurses in Bangladesh who agree to take part in the EBP training can join. Patients who are admitted to the ICU and require intubation (a procedure where a tube is placed to help them breathe) may also be included if their legal guardians give consent. Participants can expect to be part of a study where they will receive better training and support to help improve patient care. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, and those who stay in the ICU for less than two days or do not require ongoing care will not be included.
