ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of virtual reality (VR) to help reduce pain for patients with orthopedic fractures, which are breaks in bones. The researchers want to see if a VR program can effectively support patients during their hospital stay by managing pain and improving overall experiences. They will also look at how long patients stay in the hospital and how much pain medication they need while being treated.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be hospitalized due to an orthopedic fracture and be able to understand and sign a consent form. They should have good vision or be able to correct it with contacts. However, those who do not speak English, have severe motion sickness, or certain medical conditions may not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to engage with the VR system during your treatment and share your experiences afterward. This trial aims to improve the use of VR for future patients, making the process more comfortable and effective.
