ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating what happens to the bone in your jaw after a tooth is extracted and a special procedure called ridge preservation is done. Specifically, the researchers want to see if there are changes in the width of the jawbone immediately after the tooth is removed and how those changes might affect the bone's size and shape four months later. They will look at whether the bone either expands or stays the same right after extraction, and how that might lead to differences in bone width and height later on.
To participate in this study, you would need to be an adult between 18 and 75 years old, in good health, and scheduled to have a single tooth extraction with a bone graft. You should not have any smoking history, active gum disease, or serious health issues that could affect healing. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo the extraction and ridge preservation procedure, and then be followed up for updates on your bone healing over the next few months. This research is important because it could help improve dental care and recovery after tooth extractions.
