ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a chatbot designed to help prevent complications that can occur after major visceral surgery, which includes significant procedures often related to cancer. The goal is to see if the chatbot can provide useful information and support to patients during their recovery period, helping them avoid problems after surgery.
To participate in this trial, patients need to be at least 60 years old and scheduled for elective major visceral surgery. They should also be able to communicate in the local language and have no issues with memory or understanding. Unfortunately, those with serious mental health issues, previous major surgeries, or who cannot give their consent will not be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to interact with the chatbot for support and guidance throughout their recovery journey.
