ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatment methods for people suffering from a common type of dizziness known as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). The researchers want to see if the Epley maneuver or the Semont-Plus maneuver, when combined with specific exercises called Brandt-Daroff exercises, is more effective in reducing dizziness and improving the quality of life for participants. The study involves 40 adults aged 20 to 65 who have been diagnosed with BPPV and experience recurrent episodes of dizziness.
Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive the Epley maneuver along with the Brandt-Daroff exercises, while the other group will receive the Semont-Plus maneuver with the same exercises. The trial will take place over a year, and the participants will be asked to complete some questionnaires before and after the treatment period to measure their dizziness and overall well-being. If you or someone you know is dealing with frequent dizziness and meets the eligibility criteria, this study may be a good option to consider for potential relief.
