ClinConnect Summary
The ACT for HIV-Positive Men trial is studying a type of therapy called acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to see how well it helps improve mental health for men living with HIV. This therapy focuses on accepting thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.
To be part of this study, you need to be a man who is at least 18 years old and has been diagnosed with HIV. The trial is currently looking for participants, so if you meet these criteria, you might be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to participate in therapy sessions designed to support your mental well-being. However, the study cannot accept individuals who have recently harmed themselves, have certain mental health conditions, or have used specific drugs in the past week. This trial aims to offer valuable insights into how ACT can support the mental health of HIV-positive men.
