ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how the color of gloves worn by healthcare providers might affect the accuracy of measuring oxygen levels in children. Oxygen saturation is important because it tells us how well oxygen is getting into a child's blood. The study will include children aged 3 to 18 years who are being treated in the pediatric emergency department at İzmir Bakırçay University Cigli and Training and Research Hospital from October 2024 to October 2025.

To participate, children must be between 3 and 18 years old and have their parent or guardian's permission. They also need to have had a specific blood test called arterial blood gas measurement. However, children with certain conditions, like skin issues on their fingers or nail polish, won't be included. If your child participates, they will have their oxygen levels measured while the healthcare provider wears gloves of different colors, helping us understand if the color affects the readings. This study is important for improving how we monitor children's health in emergency situations.
