ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using a stress ball during the active phase of labor can help reduce pain and increase comfort for pregnant women. The researchers will monitor women who are in labor, starting when their cervix is dilated between 3-4 centimeters and continuing until it reaches 8-9 centimeters. One group of women will use a stress ball, while another group will receive standard care without the stress ball. The researchers will compare the levels of pain and comfort experienced by both groups using simple pain scales.
To participate in this study, women must be between 18 and 40 years old and planning for a vaginal birth. However, those with risky pregnancies will not be eligible. If you join this trial, you can expect to use a stress ball during a crucial time in your labor and help researchers learn more about ways to improve the birthing experience for future mothers. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to valuable research.
