ClinConnect Summary
The TEKCare trial is a research study that aims to learn more about the medical problems that can happen to technical divers, such as decompression sickness and other diving-related issues. The study will look back at information from divers who have experienced accidents during their dives and how they were treated afterward. By understanding these incidents better, the researchers hope to identify factors that could predict how severe these accidents can be.
To participate in this study, you must be a civilian technical diver who has had a diving accident, like decompression sickness or pulmonary edema, after using special diving equipment during a dive. Additionally, you should have received treatment at a hyperbaric center in mainland France. The study is currently not recruiting participants, but when it begins, eligible divers can expect to share their diving experiences and medical history to help improve safety and care for the diving community.
