ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how common persistent pain is after mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery for breast cancer. It aims to understand how effective a special surgery called regenerative peripheral nerve interface (RPNI) is in reducing this type of pain, which can happen after these procedures. Researchers are looking for women aged 18 and older who have had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction at least six months ago.
If you join the study, you will help researchers learn more about postmastectomy pain and potentially benefit from the RPNI surgery, which may help lessen your pain. It’s important to note that if you had a surgery to change or fix your breast reconstruction within the last six months or have other medical issues causing pain, you may not be eligible to participate. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, you could contribute to valuable research that may help many other women in the future.
