ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common fatty liver disease is among patients who have had an acute ischemic stroke, which is a type of stroke caused by a blockage of blood flow to the brain. The researchers want to understand if having fatty liver affects recovery and outcomes, such as the chances of complications or even death, in these stroke patients who don’t have other known risk factors.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 18 years old and have been newly diagnosed with an ischemic stroke without obvious risk factors like smoking, diabetes, or high blood pressure. However, those who are younger than 18 or older than 60, or who have known health issues that could affect the results, are not eligible to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but if you qualify and choose to take part, you will help researchers learn more about the connection between fatty liver disease and stroke recovery, which could lead to better care for future patients.
