ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program designed to help obese individuals manage emotional eating and build psychological resilience. The program combines techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to support participants in changing their eating habits and improving their mental strength. The study will involve 102 people who are obese, and participants will be divided into two groups. One group will receive the psychoeducation program, while the other group will not receive any intervention. Researchers will assess the participants' emotional eating and resilience at three different times: before the program starts, after eight weeks, and again three months later.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 65, have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more, and should not have any psychiatric disorders or be on psychiatric medications. They also need to be willing to participate and be in good enough physical and mental health to take part in the program. This study is important because it aims to show whether psychological support can effectively help individuals struggling with obesity, highlighting the role of mental health in weight management.
