ClinConnect Summary

The HOT Study is looking into a new type of test for hepatitis C virus (HCV) that can give results quickly at syringe services programs (SSP), which help people who use drugs. The main goal is to see how this quick testing affects how people receive their results and whether it helps them get the care and treatment they need for HCV. The study will also explore the best ways to use this type of testing in these programs.

To be eligible for the study, participants need to be at least 22 years old and should not already know they have HCV or have participated in this study before. If you decide to join, you'll receive the quick test and, depending on the results, support to connect you to treatment if necessary. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it's an important step in improving HCV testing and care for individuals who might be affected.
