ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see how effective motivational interviewing and monitoring through WhatsApp can be in helping teenagers with Type 1 diabetes manage their condition better. Motivational interviewing is a way of talking to patients that encourages them to take an active role in their health. The study will measure whether these techniques improve the teens' attitudes toward their diabetes, their sense of social support, their confidence in managing their health, their overall quality of life, and their blood sugar control, as indicated by a test called HbA1c.
To participate in this study, teens aged 13 to 18 who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes for at least six months and have a specific blood sugar level may be eligible. They also need to be regular WhatsApp users and able to communicate in Turkish. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if they join, they can expect to receive support through both motivational interviews and WhatsApp, helping them feel more empowered in managing their diabetes.
