ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new blood test called the ClotPro analyzer, which helps doctors understand how well a patient’s blood can clot. The trial involves three groups of patients: those having liver surgery, pregnant women having a planned cesarean section, and patients undergoing brain surgery. Researchers want to see how well the ClotPro test works compared to other existing tests used to check blood clotting. It’s important to note that the results of these tests will not change the care or treatment that participants receive during the study.
To participate in this trial, patients must be from one of the three groups mentioned and be undergoing specific surgeries. They also need to provide written consent to take part in the study. There are no additional restrictions for joining. Participants can expect to undergo the ClotPro test along with some standard lab tests during their hospital stay, but these tests are just for research purposes and will not affect their medical treatment. This trial is currently recruiting, and all patients, regardless of gender, aged 65 and older, are welcome to participate.
