ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different blood pressure medications affect patients with high blood pressure who are admitted to the emergency department. Researchers want to find out how well these medications work in lowering blood pressure, how long patients stay in the hospital, and what tests are done during their visit. The trial will look specifically at patients who regularly take certain blood pressure medications before coming to the hospital and see how this impacts their treatment and recovery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be 18 years or older and have a diagnosed high blood pressure with a reading of 140/80 or higher. Unfortunately, pregnant individuals, those without a prior diagnosis of high blood pressure, and patients with severe complications from high blood pressure are not eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to be monitored closely while receiving treatment, and your blood pressure will be measured to see how well the medications work during your hospital stay. This research is important as it may help improve how high blood pressure is managed in emergency situations.
