ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Baseline ACL Injury Risk Screening and Normative Data," is studying how healthy athletes move and perform in sports to help understand the risk of injuries, especially injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which is a key ligament in the knee. The researchers are looking to gather information from athletes over the course of a year after their initial testing to see if they experience any new injuries during that time.
Eligible participants for this study are healthy athletes aged between 10 and 65 who are actively involved in organized sports. Unfortunately, if an athlete is injured at the time they sign up or if they are pregnant, they won’t be able to participate. Those who join the study can expect to undergo some basic movement tests and then be followed for a year to track any injuries. This research aims to create a better understanding of injury risks and ultimately help in preventing ACL injuries in athletes.
