ClinConnect Summary
The naVIGation trial is studying how well Patient Navigators and mailed invitations can help people with liver conditions, such as liver cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B, attend their important ultrasound appointments for monitoring liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma, or HCC). The researchers believe that by providing these extra supports, more patients will show up for their appointments and that this will lead to more cases of HCC being detected at an early stage, which is crucial for effective treatment.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and meet certain health criteria, like having specific types of liver cirrhosis or being at high risk for chronic hepatitis B. Unfortunately, if you have been diagnosed with HCC before or have severe liver issues, you won't be able to join. If you do take part, you can expect guidance and support from Patient Navigators, along with receiving mailed invitations to remind you about your appointments. This trial has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to help improve care for those at risk of liver cancer.
