ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new online tool called the Emergency Preparedness Toolkit, designed to help caregivers of people with dementia take care of their own health needs in case of unexpected emergencies. Caregivers often focus so much on caring for their loved ones that they neglect their own health, which can lead to serious issues. The toolkit will guide caregivers on how to make arrangements for someone else to take over care, giving them peace of mind that their loved one will be looked after while they attend to their own health needs.
To be eligible for this study, you must be at least 18 years old, live with and provide care to a person with dementia, and identify as their spouse or partner. Unfortunately, people with dementia or those who have difficulty using a computer, following directions, or communicating in English cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to receive support and resources to help you prepare for any health emergencies you might face, ensuring both you and the person you care for are taken care of.
