ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two different taping techniques on football players suffering from plantar fasciitis, a painful condition that affects the bottom of the foot. The two methods being tested are called windlass taping and calcaneal taping. The goal is to see how these taping techniques can help reduce pain, improve flexibility, and enhance overall foot function in players who experience heel pain, especially after intense training sessions.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be football players aged 65 to 74 who have a specific test result indicating plantar fasciitis. They should experience foot pain that often gets better after warming up but returns after playing, and they may have discomfort when taking their first steps in the morning or after resting. However, individuals with certain foot or ankle issues, a history of fractures or surgeries, or those who have received treatment for plantar fasciitis in the last six months cannot participate. Those who join the study can expect to receive one of the taping methods and will be monitored for changes in their pain and foot function.
