ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best way to use High-Intensity Gait Training (HIGT) to help patients who have had a stroke improve their walking abilities during their recovery in a rehabilitation facility. The goal is to find out how much training is most effective for reducing difficulties with movement in patients who are in the early stages of stroke recovery. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two different training programs or a program that focuses on increasing their step count while they receive standard care.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have had a stroke as their primary diagnosis. However, individuals who have certain health issues that could prevent them from participating in physical activity, those who are expected to stay in the hospital for less than 14 days, or those who were unable to walk more than 50 meters before their hospital admission cannot take part. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information that could help improve rehabilitation methods for stroke patients.
