ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the frailty of patients with head and neck cancers before they begin treatment aimed at curing their disease. Researchers want to understand how fragile these patients are by using a simple questionnaire called the G8. They will also look at how quality of life, swallowing function, and the ability to walk impact these patients. Additionally, they will gather information about the patients' financial concerns and their interest in a program to help prepare them for treatment.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old, able to give their consent, and have a diagnosis that requires curative therapy for head and neck cancer. They should also speak German well enough to understand the study. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires and perform a simple walking test to assess their physical condition. It's important to note that people with certain heart conditions or severe walking difficulties may not be eligible for the trial. This study aims to gather valuable information that can help improve care for patients facing head and neck cancers.
